CAMPBELL, California, August 22, 2023 – Phoenix Technologies, a leading independent firmware supplier for PCs and computing devices, has appointed Barry Devereux as one of its non-executive directors.
A corporate lawyer, Barry has over 30 years of experience in international M&A, venture capital, private equity and other investment transactions, as well as IPOs and privatizations. He is currently the Principal of DVRX Advisory, a boutique corporate advisory business based in Ireland.
Barry was previously a partner with McCann FitzGerald for 25 years, leading both the Corporate Group and the Corporate Finance Group, ultimately becoming Managing Partner for two terms.
Prior to that Barry spent 10 years with the global international law firm, Clifford Chance, initially working in London before relocating for a number of years to Singapore as its Head of Corporate Finance for South East Asia.
Recently Barry has been involved in many of Ireland’s largest and most complex transactions, including the privatizations of Eircom, Aer Lingus, and Bord Gais Energy, a series of government recapitalizations of AIB Bank and a range of venture investments and disposals by Intel Corporation, Benchmark Capital and Intel Capital in Irish tech companies.
